For most of my years as a photographer, I have tried, when traveling to a new country to photograph the central markets in each city I visit. I have done this in London, Lisbon, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and so on. Athens of course being the city where I live since 1993 has had special attention on that front. Back in 2011 I did a whole extended Market project here and these images are six of my favourites from the Central Athens Meat & Fish Market, in Athinas Street. (These are a remake of some of the shots, with less processing than I did in 2011, so more faithful to the camera images).
