It’s April 2018 and Alfred, my oldest friend came to stay with us in Athens. Alf and me met in 1975 when we were 15, and I had just come to England to study. We were in the same class at the now long gone Shrubbery School in Cambridge. For whatever reason I took to him immediately. He is and was one of the nicest, kindest and most open minded people I have ever met and it gives me great pleasure that even five decades later we can still have long and fulfilling conversations and enjoy each other’s company. I was looking thorough my portfolio when I came across these photos of our touristy times in Athens, and realised, to my great shame I never showed these! So here they are.

Below are a few shots I took while we were rambling around the Acropolis and environs…

All the shots on a Nikon D750, Nikkor 50mm ƒ/1.4 & 35mm ƒ/2 at ISO 200-400.
