A new projects looking in black & white at the play of shadows against light around the city. This first set is shot from my sitting room window of the opposite walls around 8:30 in the A.M.

I am thinking about making this a new project. It is partly because lately I have been feeling a little adrift with my creative processes. Looking at the work I’ve been doing in the last couple of years has made me feel that there is a little something missing in terms of a clear direction, a convincing vision of where I intend to go with my photography. It is a natural result, I believe, of the violent and shocking turn the world has taken of late, combined with my own personal crisis of psychological stability and the macrocosmic crisis that is plaguing our world. Anyway, I don’t know if right now it is possible for art to be a solution, but we do tend to fall back on the weapons we understand the utility of. So here goes nothing.
